Meet Cajou du Centre and Fruits of Africa! Two Togolese companies supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Togo, who will be exhibiting at the Organic Africa Pavilion at BIOFACH / VIVANESS 2023!

Established in 2015, CAJOU DU CENTRE is predominantly a cashew nut processing company 🥜. Supplied by its own plantations of
nearly 2500 hectares and a network of 1300 smallholder farmers, Cajou du Centre has grown to a company with over 500 employees, of which 80% are women. Additionally, Cajou du Centre is now expanding into the production and export of NOP certified honey, and has over 1000 hives installed across Togo 🍯.

Cajou du Centre has obtained the certificate of African Cashew Alliance, EU Organic and is now working towards the implementation of the BRC standard.

Fruits of Africa was founded in 2019 and is active in the production, processing, and export of smooth Cayenne pineapple 🍍. Located in the Plateaux region of Togo at an altitude of 700 meters, Fruits of Africa process over 5000 tones of pineapple yearly, and process this into dried pineapple and juices. With its own fruit drying plant, they contribute to the preservation of biodiversity in the Danyi region of Togo 🌱. Additionally, they support the indirect employment of 900 small producers and 20 direct jobs, of which 90% are women.

Their pineapple products have been EU Organic and NOP certified.
